Seafile Node for n8n with Lazy Loading
A fork of the Seafile community node for n8n whose file and folder pickers load one folder level at a time, so they stay fast on large libraries.
Overview
The Seafile community node by datamate-rethink-it connects n8n to the Seafile file server with 33 actions for files, folders, libraries, sharing and tags. Its file and folder pickers fetched the whole library tree up front, which made them slow on large libraries.
What I added
- File and folder pickers became resource locators that load contents one folder level at a time.
- Browsing by typing a path (for example /invoices/2024/) drills deeper; a By Path mode accepts a path or an expression directly.
- The change applies to every file and folder selector across the File, Folder, Search, Share and Tag actions.
- Published as a separate npm package, n8n-nodes-seafile-lazy, installable from n8n’s Community Nodes settings.
The node runs in production in the AI Content Factory, where the carousel graphics are stored in Seafile. The original node and its actions are the work of its authors; this fork adds the lazy-loading pickers.
